The San Francisco bay area based rockers in Y&T are back with their second album since the comeback in 1995. Their comeback "Musically Incorrect" was a big disappointment for me and a lot of other Y&T-fans all over the world. It was a more naked and rougher sound they'd never shown before.
The expectations weren't as high for this new one, but I'm glad to report that they're getting back on track.
The sound is more of Y&T circa 1981/82, best amplified in the "Forever"-alike "Still Falling".
"Hello, Hello (I'm Back Again)" is another tune sounding with a reminiscent sound from the same period.
"Sail On By" is a very fine mid tempo ballad that has a beautiful chorus filled with "classic" Y&T-harmonies and of course guitar solos signed Dave Meniketti.
All in all just a couple of minor bummer's, but there's not much to complain about. Maybe not a classic, but more of what people want to hear from Y&T.
